That Cat steering that Country Cadillac has some serious ponies. If we could only get Linda to Hay That Wagon - Love is a Rose. Maybe, that was Neil steering.

Not every "hippy" was a drugged-out wacko. just as with any ideal, subculture, so on and so forth, there are the stereotypes, and the people who abuse the *thought* to acheive their own means or to have an excuse to do stupid stuff. Not everyone was like that, and it's as unfair to say that as it is to say 'all black people are gangsters'. It's simply not true.

I'm so glad I was able to go. It was a experience of a life time.

Romanticizing the image of a hippy or wanting to be one upon watching the Woodstock movie is flawed thinking. Hippies were subject & privvy to beatings by police, always denied entry into hotels and other public places and basically rejected by society until the 80s where they became Yuppie Republicans, traded the weed for coke and became sell outs. Whereas I would have enjoyed the sex, drugs & rock and roll at Woodstock, I would have had a blast without wanting to be a hippy.
