MMAbadboy, this wrestling is mostly like freestlye wrestling. Greco Roman is all upper body, you're not allowed to go for the legs. This is a very ancient style of wrestling and what sets it aside from others is the fact that you can use your opponents pants to take him down.Another style of wrestling similar to this is called "Glima" it's Icelandic wrestling where you can pick your opponent up by his pants. These guys have some of the most tremendous takedown defense I've ever seen.

Thanks HistoryGirl08,that's good info you relayed to me. You see bilgyynei, I learn something new everyday.

Because Mongolian is an Altaic language. Mongolian is related to Korean, Manchurian Tungus, Turkic, and even Japanese (same grammer). Most of the other Asian languages are Sino Tibetan (Chinese, Tibetan, so on) and Austronesian (Malay, Indonesian, so on) and they have differant grammer and sounds to Altaic.

Why is the Mongolian language so different from all other Asian languages?

bilgyynei, hahaha I could care less what people think. I guess you do. Do research? Why waste my time? I'll find answers here on trusty youtube.

And that's why you should at least do some research online or go read books, and stop making a fool out of yourself. People will think everyone in the States are stupid as you.

don't be social? this is youtube?

I was trying to help MMAbadboy get information so that things would stay positive and he would be more informed... coz earlier there was a mutual misunderstanding, and people were getting mad.But technically you're right: The easier answer would be "Read a book" or "Go look it up yourself."While that may be good advice... That wouldn't be very social of me to tell him that, and it wouldn't calm the social dynamics that were already working before i joined the discussion. Ass.

I thought Greco-Roman wrestling scored points for flipping and pinning the opponents? Maybe I'm confusing it for another style.Mongolian wrestling and Sumo are both focused much more on standing up than the styles popular in the USA are. You lose in Sumo if anything besides the bottom of your foot touches the ground. In Mongolian I'm not sure... I think it's very similar. In Sumo you also want to stay inside a small ring or lose. I don't know if Mongolian wrestling does this.
